We’ve seen artsy elevator shafts before, but what about artsy elevators? Scouting New York stumbles on this one—”It’s like Willy Wonka built an elevator to the land of Oz!”—in the back corner of an otherwise unremarkable office building in Queens. The elevator, with mechanical monster heads poking awesomely from the ceiling, dates from the days when the building was a Macy’s warehouse. Anyone seen a quirky elevator along these lines elsewhere in the city? Nominations to the tipline.
